Things I Am Glad I Took
Just a few things I am glad I took with me:
A travel jug, very good for the first thing cup of tea. Note to self, pack it better in future so it won’t get split enroute. Super glue sorted it out though.
Tea bags, a must if travelling through Latin America.
Condensed milk in a tube, far easier than taking powdered milk and less likely to arouse the interest of customs.
Some vegemite, this started to show its value about a week into the trip. Only sad thing was that it wasn’t Marmite. Come on Sanitarium, get your Marmite together.
A small pocket torch, small umbrella, ‘one size fits all’ sink plug, small bars of soap in my day pack for Cuban bathrooms which are often sadly lacking.
A cap, so I could lose it and waste time hunting around for it.
As for this trips cap? Don’t ask and then I won’t have to try and remember where I last saw it. The official story is that I had to ditch the cap to make space for some cigars.
